Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Frigidaire dishwasher that lasted for 10 years. So I was not hesitant to purchase another Frigidaire. I’m disappointed in this new one. I read all the reviews and one thing that was mentioned is that it was quiet. Unfortunately, it is not quiet it is very loud. it is also hard to open and the buttons don’t seem to respond so I have to research to find out how to cut off heat dry and to start and stop the dishwasher. It does clean well and I am happy that I have the upper arm as my old one did not. I’m hoping with more research I can learn how to use these buttons, but it really should be a simple matter to start and stop.

Loud and disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old dishwasher broke and we bought this one from the appliance scratch and dent store we have bought all our appliances from. First the dent was located in the spot to be installed so it took our installer 2 to 3 hours to install it because he had to rig it. Of course this is not Frigidaire's fault, but we could have bought a better machine instead of paying for this work. Second the machine doesn't fit add many dishes as my old machine. 3. It's so loud that we can't run it and be in the kitchen as we could with the old appliance. I'm very disappointed and wished we had looked elsewhere and done research instead of buying the first dishwasher available.

Initial impressions - dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually don’t write reviews. But this time am taking time out to write this as I have all Frigidaire appliances in kitchen. I had a Bosh dishwasher before moving to the US. It was around the same price. But it was full Stainless steel with steel rack inside too. It was absolutely silent to the point that I thought it’s not running. So I called up the support team asking them if my machine is working. They told me that the red light on the floor indicates that the machine is working. For slightly more price, this model is not completely steel. It has plastic fronts making it look average. The insides are not steel too and noisy. It cleans well hence the 3 stars

Apparently no human quality control

I have no idea if the dishwasher worked because the door wouldn't open. Unfortunately we didn't try the door until we had slid it in place. But we were already exhausted from trying to unscrew the feet that were apparently put on by robots & were practically welded in place & would not budge ... had to use 3 types of wrenchs & practically dislocated a shoulder trying. Got it at big box hardware store & took it back at 10 minutes to closing time for full refund. I guess the door was slammed shut by a factory robot too. A wasted day & 90 miles of wasted fuel. But we have since bought a different brand that I really like.

Disappointed

It's a long story of how we got stuck with this dishwasher. We were without a dishwasher for six months. This dishwasher does NOT heat the washing cycle water, only the rinse water. In my opinion, that is not right, the washing water should always be heated by the dishwasher coils on th bottom to ensure clean dishes. The instructions say to turn up your water heater to 120 degrees, and our water heater is set at 100 degrees, as we don't want our water to be that hot. The front door is difficult to open and close, not made to be efficient, and the machine is very loud. We are very disappointed in the dishwasher!!!

Great Price, lacks feature selection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in November for Black Friday. Little did I know I would be disappointed with the lack of features I was accustomed to. It doesn't have a heavy wash or extra hot wash buttons...not the fault of the dishwasher. I only have a cold water line running to the dishwasher, it doesn't heat the water like a more expensive unit would and dishes are left dirty. I added hot water prior to the wash and it made a big difference. The same for the drying feature, it gets hot but dishes are left mostly wet. I'm not disappointed with what I paid but having to rewash or dry my dishes with a towel has been the downside.

Regarding the dishwasher not drying the dishes, make sure that air dry is not being selected, this will result in wet dishes. For optimum drying performance, using a rinse aid has proven to be helpful. Also, try using the Hi-Temp Wash option on the model. During the hi-temp wash option, the dishwasher heats water in the main wash to approximately 140F (60C) and increases the temperature higher in the final rinse. The increased water temperature helps the dishwasher detergent removes food grease and soil from dishes more effectively and aids in drying. Hopefully, this helps. Heated Dry function does NOTHING

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brand new. The "Heated Dry" function does NOT work in any way. (Yes, I am placing the on-off toggle to "ON"). My dishes and the dishwasher itself are continually extremely wet after the entire cycle has completed. I am using the rinse aid feature EXACTLY as suggested in your manual. I must towel dry my dishes. I must leave the dishwasher wide open, with both racks pulled completely out, to get it to air dry. It takes at least 2 days for the washer to air dry in this manner. Imagine the mold/calcification buildup if the washer was to sit, dripping wet, for weeks on end if I didn't leave it open to dry!

Good basic dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good basic dishwasher for a rental I have. Low price, and purchase a 5 year warranty. One thing I want to mention though, I replaced my previous dishwasher which was the same model, 4 years old. The dishwasher failed when the glass strainer at the bottom of the tub evidently rotated loose over time, and popped out. When this happened, the sprayer wand at the bottom of the dishwasher also popped out, and landed on top of the heater coil. The heat melted the sprayer wand, and so I decided to buy a new unit. Due to price, and with the 5 year warranty, I decided to chance buying the same model.
