Great appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great at cooling the room and maintaining a good temperature. I wish the remote had more night time friendly features like, showing me the settings the ac is set on and an led lit screen. I also don't like that It automatically goes on eco whenever I turn it on because, although I love the environment and would love this feature, but it turns off the ac and the hum of the ac helps me sleep so when it turns off it disrupts me. I thought it would function like how the auto function works, which is why my ac is always on auto and I turn it off completely when I don't need the ac running. But other than that, It works well and is easy to clean.

Very Reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this unit for a little over a year now and I'm pretty happy with it. My room is cool and comfortable in under 30 minutes. It's easy to use and doesn't look bad in the window at all. I give it 3 stars because recently, it developed a mildew smell and I can't seem to get rid of it. The manual instructs not to take it apart. I called and the best solution they had was to use bleach. It's a temporary solution at best. It lasts about an afternoon but comes back the next day. Nothing shows at all how to clean it and it's embarrassing to have anyone over when my room smells like I don't do laundry. If 5 stars if I can find a solution though.

I understand you’re having a bit of trouble tackling the mildew smell from your unit. Air conditioners remove moisture from the air. The water collects in the base of the unit. It is possible for some water to sit stagnant in the base of the air conditioner for extended periods, especially during very humid weather. I recommend revisiting your model’s installation instructions to ensure your unit is properly draining any excessive water. Also, if you feel bleach is a bit harsh. Combine 1/2 cup white vinegar with 2 cups hot water in a large bowl or spray bottle. Spray, or apply the mixture with a sponge, onto the vents. Scrub the affected areas thoroughly with an old toothbrush or scrub brush, and then rinse clean with warm water. Should the above suggestion prove ineffective, I recommend contacting a professional cleaning company for further assistance. Feel free to reconnect with any additional questions. Works Well When It's Not Making A Fluttering Chattering Noise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since day 1 it makes this fluttery chattering scratchy noise on all modes. It is not a normal noise.There are other reviews that mention a scratchy noise. After two or three weeks, the noise went away for a few days but has now returned. I was hoping to get it looked at through Frigidaire's authorized service but the COVID policy doesn't allow service calls at this time. It's not as quiet as others have said. It cools pretty well, I guess. I am just really annoyed with the noise issue which is really disappointing. I wish the display on the unit was larger or showed up on the remote. Really hard to see unless i get really close..

Great AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been using this ac for about 3 weeks now. Love how quickly it cools our bedroom. We keep it in the , economy mode while we’re sleeping and it rarely wakes us up when it turns on and off. Initially when you turn it on , it’s a bit noisy but once it reaches the desired temperature it is very quiet. We were looking for an AC that is quiet for the bedroom and this was a great purchase for the value, in addition to Frigidaire being a popular brand name Just wish the side slides would open up a bit more, we had to insert foam strips to fill the gaps on the sides when we inserted it into the window. It is very energy efficient 12.1 when the fan is in low mode

Nice and quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this unit for about a month now here in NYC, where it can get pretty humid, especially as summer draws near. The unit was easy to install for two people (this model is lightweight enough for one person to carry, though I helped my husband by lowering the window while he held the unit in place). This air conditioner cools down our eastern-light, 165 sq. ft. living room very quickly, but my favorite aspect is how quiet it is! It doesn't make us raise the volume on our TV, and it's more of a white noise quietly humming in the background. I haven't used the other features (Sleep, etc) but I am looking forward to using this product this summer and can highly recommend it.

Great AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great AC. I got this to replace my 14 year old ac that was extremely heavy but still worked. I got tired of dragging it up and down three floors at the beginning and end of ac season here in the northeast. I measured the room and got the correct btu. Easy to install and easy to use functions. Strong fan speed and cools room quickly. I love all the automatic electronic features it has. The only thing that is annoying is when on auto eco mode it constantly turns on and off during the night which disturbs my sleep. So I turn those features off. That’s the reason for 4 star rating instead of 5 star. Noise level same as all the new AC’s today which could be a little quieter but it does put me to sleep.

Compact and quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this airconditioner for a few weeks now. mounted to my window with a brace to secure the weight of the unit---that may seem like an extra step but I highly recommend it. It works; it's more compact and quieter than the Friedrich unit it replaced and it looks nice. **However, the remote is not very informative. There needs to be either some kind of visual indicator, or lights, to show which features are engaged. So I'm taking one star off the rating.** This is something Frigidaire can easily fix and supply as a replacement for existing units and ship with all future units.

Good AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC works well so far. The only problem is I can use just one remote when using remote sensing feature. The AC's are approximately 30 feet apart and the 2 remotes battle each other for control when using remote sensing feature. There is only channel so I removed batteries from one remote and now both AC's work from one remote including remote sensing feature. This would have been 5 star rating if I could use both remotes. Otherwise they work well with this setup. I suggest adding a channel so you can control each AC separately in the future or at least mention this in the manuals.
