GE GTX33GASKWW 27 inch Gas Dryer with 6.2 cu. ft. Capacity, Up To 120 ft. Venting​ and Shallow Depth​ in White

I previously had an"energy saving dryer" that stopped drying LONG before anything was dry. My main criteria was to get a dryer where I could set the timer for as long as I wanted. This dryer features both cycles but I only use the timed dry setting. Things dry just fine - it is FAR better than my previous dryer (which BTW was not a GE). The timer is very loud and annoying - and I am hard of hearing! The edge around the top surface of the dryer is somewhat raised. I would prefer that it be flat. If I put my bottle of detergent or softener down I have to move my laundry basket out of the way so that the bottle will sit flat. I don't see an advantage to this raised edge.

It works great. I seem to have really bad luck with any appliance we purchase. They aren't built to last anymore. It works, dries our clothes. I can tell you that I really dislike the buzzer. It first gives you a warning sound about one minute before the cycle is done, I jump and grab things out before it goes off it is that annoying. Any way to shut that off at all? I would forever be grateful to know this. We didn't go with a fancy model because honestly it just doesn't pay to spend a ton of money and have to replace these things every 4 to 5 years. It's nice and it does a job.

Honestly, the only reason one should buy this dryer is if it’s the only one that fits your space. That’s why I bought it. It’s has a HORRENDOUS buzzing sounds when the cycle is close to ending and then again (and longer!!) when the cycle actually ends, and there is no way to turn it off. Also, the only way to stop the dryer mid-cycle is to open the door. Other than those two things, it works fine. It is replacing a 17 year old GE dryer that died, so I thought it would be a good quality and well designed machine. But honestly that one (when it worked) was 10x better than this one. I have no choice but to keep it, as I can find no other dryer that fits in the small space I have. Otherwise, I would return it.

Bought this dryer right before Christmas. I needed smaller dimensions to be able to fit into my closet and still close the bi-fold doors. I didn't have much options other than GE. My only compliant i the buzzer that goes off twice to tell you the load is almost finished its drying cycle. The buzzer can not be turned off and having the laundry so close to the kitchen and living room it can be a little noisy. Also, the lint trap comes out nice but the plastic grate does not and it does collect easily. But overall it a great dryer, it gets the job done.

The buzzer is way too loud and you cannot shut it off. And then it rings again and again until you open the door and take the clothes out. If it wasn't for the fact that a different dryer was $150 more I would have taken it back but I have learned to just set my kitchen timer instead and hurry to get them out before that obnoxious buzzer goes off and wakes up everybody in the house. Whose idea was it to put in such a loud obnoxious buzzer with no on-off switch. All of the driver dryers I've ever owned came with an on-off switch for the buzzer

I have been using this gas dryer for about a month with no problems. For its size it can hold a large load of clothes, much larger than the one it replaced of about the same size (an old, different brand). I use the timed drying, the timer appears to be quite accurate. The knob is a bit hard to turn, but I got used to it quite quickly. Once I determined the proper time and either normal or medium heat for different kinds of loads, they always come out nice and dry. I am happy with the purchase.

This is a very simple dryer (I bought the gas model) with 1 dial for temperature control and 1 for time. There's very little noise insulation (as in zero) and the end of cycle buzzer is extremely annoying (which may be good or bad) so being able to isolate it in a separate room or garage is required. If I had the chance to do it again I'd move up one or two levels in the line to add some features. But to be completely honest it dries clothes which is all I really need.

We have had trouble with this unit from the beginning. It is so cheaply made that the dryer moves forward when you pull on the door and goes back when you push to close the door. Something inside vibrates constantly and after 2 service calls, it is still vibrating. We have all GE appliances in our home and have been pleased with them. This dryer has been a huge disappointment. It appears that the unit was made a cheaply as possible without any regard to quality.
