Verifying Orders
At Homery.com, we prioritize secure shopping and take steps to prevent fraudulent orders. If an order triggers a security review, it may be temporarily held until verification is complete. You’ll receive a notification if your order requires additional documentation.
Verification Process
Below are instructions and mockup descriptions that will help you create visual guides similar to those in the images for Homery.com’s Order Verification process.
Credit Card Image Guidelines
- Issuing Bank Name: Make sure the name of the bank that issued the card (e.g., “Copper Bank”) is visible at the top of the card.
- Last Four Digits Only: Only the last four numbers of the card number should be visible. Cover the rest of the card number with a black bar for privacy.
- Expiration Date: Ensure the expiration date is visible, showing the month and year.
- Cardholder’s Name: Display the name on the card (e.g., “Leaky Louie”) while masking other sensitive details.
- “Issuing bank” – clearly shown at the top.
- “Only the last 4 numbers are visible” – middle of the card.
- “Cardholder’s name is visible” – bottom left.
- “Expiration date is visible” – bottom center.
Driver’s License Image Guidelines
- Name and Address: Show the name and address on the ID to confirm it matches the billing details.
- Birthday Can Be Hidden: It’s optional to show your date of birth. You may cover this for extra privacy if preferred.
- “Customer’s name and address are visible” – across the name and address area.
- “You don’t have to show us your birthday if you don’t want to!” – bottom.
If verification is required, we may request:
- A copy of your photo ID and credit card (showing only the last four digits).
- Proof of address matching the order billing details.
Steps for Providing Verification:
- Prepare Documents: Lay out your credit card and ID side-by-side, ensuring visibility of essential information.
- Protect Sensitive Details: Cover all but the last four digits of your credit card number. Ensure your name, expiration date, and issuing bank are visible. For your ID, cover personal information except your name and address.
- Send Documentation Securely: You may upload your images directly through a secure link provided in our email or send them by fax to 1-(888)-800-8050.
