Viking is an American dream that is all about self-expression, colorful passions, and adventurous tastes. Viking curated 18 new colors for its iconic ranges as the 2024 color palette, which is full of vibrant hues, quiet luxury, and bold individualism. Viking ranges are iconic for their stainless-steel finish and Viking’s designer curated a new palette of rich hues and refined style to add vibrancy to the ranges. The purpose of the latest color palette is to reflect the client’s unique personality and to emphasize bold individualism. People often choose matte black finishes or stainless-steel finishes for a modern kitchen look but now you can add vibrancy to your kitchen by choosing one of the unique colors that reflects your personality and lifestyle. The new hues are designed to meet diverse tastes and preferences and therefore, it is the versatile palette for every project.

Viking displayed the new color collection at Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2024 in Las Vegas as a part of the new innovative technologies and trends. Viking highlighted its new RVL collection, innovative induction technology, and brass trims as the gold standard for its 2024 trends. Kitchen designer Matthew Quinn set up the backdrops for Viking’s booth which was full of “larger-than-life colorways,” and he said in an ELLE Décor interview, “If there’s one constant, it’s that clients are expressing themselves rather than following trends created by others.”

The new color palette features Blush, Antique Bronze, Cast Black, Daffodil, Damascus Gray, Eucalyptus, Golden Hour, Ivy, Martini, Nantucket, November Sky, Onyx, Pure White, Slate Blue, Spiced Cider, Splash, Squall, and Valentine. Shades like Squall and Nantucket embody timeless East Coast elegance, offering sophistication without excess. New finishes such as Valentine and Blush will make your kitchen look like a Barbie dream house. Soft, classic tones like Antique Bronze and Eucalyptus will elevate your space into a refined haven that feels both warm and graceful. For a burst of vibrant energy, bold accents in Slate Blue or Daffodil make a lively statement. And since minimalist designs are rooted in neutrals, you will also find neutral colors like Cast Black and Pure White to ground the look.

Viking Ranges

Viking originated the professional-grade range, and it has been leading the industry for 40 years with innovative technology and design to set the American standard for the modern luxury kitchen. From cooking and ventilation to refrigeration and dishwashers, Viking delivers professional performance and bold design concepts to elevate your kitchen. Viking is in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, Greenwood which is full of diverse flavors, sounds, and languages from all around the world and symbolizes American values such as the importance of family, home, and excellence.

“These values informed every aspect of that first Viking range—and still inform everything we do today,” said Viking on its brand values. “After leading the field for nearly four decades, we're just getting started. We won't quit innovating or dreaming.”

Viking released “The Classic Colors” collection and “The Contemporary Colors” collection before this latest palette. The “Classic Colors” collection features stainless steel and white; the purpose of this collection is to make bold statements in your kitchen. If you want a minimalistic kitchen design or a classic white kitchen design, this collection is an excellent option for your aesthetics. The interior designer and founder of Audrey Scheck Design said creamy white shades are her favorites to pair with stainless steel.

“While you can never go wrong with a white kitchen, we love to lean into creamier whites with warmer, brown undertones to offset the coolness of stainless steel,” said Scheck in a Homes and Gardens interview. “To pair creamy white with stainless steel, try painting your cabinets a warm white or using a backsplash tile that’s more ivory than stark white.”

“The Contemporary Colors” collection features Frost White, Pacific Gray, Damascus Gray, Cast Black, Vanilla Cream, Cypress Green, Black Forest Green, Arctic Gray, Bywater Blue, Alluvial Blue, Slate Blue, San Marzano Red, Reduction Red, and Kalamata Red. This contemporary palette was inspired by diverse global influences along with the rich cultural Mississippi Delta experience of colorful people.  The colors were crafted in a partnership by the Viking design team and the paint experts at Sherwin Williams.

Viking curated three different collections to cater unique preferences and personal styles. The current colors that are retiring from the previous palette: are Alluvial Blue, Arctic Gray, Black Forest Green, Bywater Blue, Cypress Green, Frost White, Kalamata Red, Pacific Gray, Reduction Red, San Marzano Red, and Vanilla Cream. Color in the kitchen has been a trending category in the industry and Viking is changing the game by providing a variety of hues to reflect your personal style, embracing the self-identity and self-expression of the American bold individualism.
