GE JXFILLR1BB Slide in Range Filler Kit (Black)

Hello - Thank you so much for the review. We truly appreciate it. Apologies about any confusion toward the installation and the design. The left hand side filler kit is vented for the Dark Dorian and Black kits (JXFILLR1DD & JXFILLR1BB). This very small notch in the filler reduces heat transfer from the range to the cooktop. The slots created by these notches are there to allow cooling air to flow down the side of the cooktop. With your model number handy, we would be able to check the compatibility for you. We can certainly understand how frustrating it would be to have installation not go as you would expect, and we are so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused for you. The installation instructions state that parts labeled 4 and 5 may need trimming depending on whether or not they are used.
