Replacement gone wrong.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We received this refrigerator through an energy saving program and I would like to commend this program. The fridge that we had was a Whirlpool 33" bottom freezer that we were told replacement was identical. The replacement is what we are reviewing. The freezer appears to create frostbite and the fresh vegetable in the fridge containers barely last a week. The door seal had to be replaced and still not sure that seal is sufficient. There is no light in the freezer and very little room in main fridge. All in I would say that we are very disappointed in this particular model and would love to be able to trade in for something similar to what we had before

Bad design on light switch

This fridge was provided in the new apartment for seniors that we moved into 2 months ago. The layout of our apartment is such that we required a left-handed fridge rather than right-handed. This puts the light switch on the opposite side of the door so you often turn out the light when reaching in because your arm hits the switch. Unfortunately, the worst part is that the switch is sharp and took a chunk of skin off my arm when I was extracting an item from the fridge. I am still nursing this injury after almost 2 weeks. I will have a lasting scar from this injury. So if purchasing this fridge, do not change the door orientation as it may cause injuries

Broken, does not work.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This fridge came with our new house provided by the builder. After two years it started to freeze everything in the fridge section. Since August 18th 2021 Whirlpool technicians have made 5 service visits, they replaced dryer/filter and refilled the system with new refrigerant it didn't help they replaced electronic temperature control unit and temperature sensor and it did not solve the problem. Yesterday they put a temperature recorder in the fridge to understand the reason. We are still waiting with hope that Whirlpool will fix the fridge. It is almost 3 months and we don't know how long will it take.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Whirlpool 30” Wide Top Freezer Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge towards the end of May and am very happy with it. I had to replace my 13 year old Maytag bottom freezer fridge because the condescending died. I originally wanted a different Whirlpool fridge but wouldn’t have been able to get it until July due to Covid and the shutdown at the Whirlpool plant in Michigan. I was told this model, the one I ended up purchasing was similar. It is a bit loud sometimes but for the most part I don’t notice the noise. I wish the shelves were a little more adjustable but other than those two things, it gets the job done and I am quite happy with it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my refrigerator without any problems, the delivery drivers were very friendly and did a wonderful job. The problem I have with it is that I asked that it opens from the right side, and it opens from left on the opposite wall of my kitchen right near my radiator, this is a problem when I’m unloading groceries from the store .The counter is across from it. It was supposed to be done at the warehouse I guess , The delivery people were not responsible for doing this, and they said it was supposed to be done at the warehouse. I asked for this when it was ordered. And it was verified.

Basic refrigerator- but energy star rated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had less than a month, and hopeful it will work well. It took a good week for temps to keep as low as food safety needs, and freezer dept is still not as cold as my old one, even at coldest setting it tends to hover between 20 and 25 degrees rather than 10-20. The refrigerator compartment seems to be keeping between 34-39, so it's good. It has a pretty quiet operation. It does have a few manufacturing issues, around the freezer door especially, two places where metal seems are uneven and hard insulation poking out into gasket , and same issue on top of fridge compartment.

Our fridge is only 2 years old and already seems to be completely broken. Was working fine up until a couple weeks ago when the fridge started freezing all of our food. When we lowered the temp and airflow settings to remedy the situation, then our freezer started not getting cold enough to freeze our food. We then changed the settings back to remedy the freezer and low and behold the fridge keeps NOTHING cold anymore. What an absolute piece of trash! Adding to that, hundreds of $$$ worth of food completely spoiled. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this model.

Westinghouse 30" Top Freezer Refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this new refrigerator about 3 weeks to replaced my older one, which was not very efficient. The new one is probably more efficient, but seems to run more than I would expect. The only other downside for me is that the bottom drawers are not deep enough to store much for fresh vegetables and fruit. Also, because my house is 130 years old and the doors are not as wide as newer homes, we had to take a lot of things (doors and other connecting items) off the unit in order to get it into the house (that's just a note for those with older home and narrow doors)
